About

It was not long ago

during the first lockdown due to Coronavirus- when I first watched the Lupus Films adaptation of The Tiger Who Came To Tea written by Judith Kerr. SO many feelings rushed through me. I grew up on a healthy diet of Nickelodeon tv shows and Disney movies. Rocket Power and Duck Tales were the afterschool past—time. When I was young I had wanted to go into animation. One thing in life led to another which deterred me from trying further. The desire has always been in me and I am now working hard to be a part of the 2d animation world.

I spent the past 6 years in footwear, apparel, and accessories design. I studied 2D Animation with CG Spectrum and am now studying remotely with New Masters Academy. I learned both hand-drawn and rigged animation methods in computer programs like TV Paint and Toon Boom. My traditional animation table has quickly become my most valued possession and it makes me feel like the artist I want to be every time I sharpen my Mars Lumograph 6B to a soft point. I spend hours at my desk now and always think even over 80 years ago during Snow White, it was only paper and those animators! Animation is through and through what I want to do and work on it every day and just want to be the best artist I can be. I’ve never felt so much pride with a single piece of paper before.
